My thoughts
The writing
Oh my gosh you guys! This book though 😍. The more I think about it the more I love love love it! Rebecca Ross does a phenomenal job with her composition of vocabulary, and strings together words beautifully. I am a sucker for a well written book. Divine Rivals isn’t very fast paced, but I didn’t feel bored by any means. I still had my imagination running wild, and movie playing in my head while the words on the page slipped away.
Plot
It’s interesting that the premise of Divine Rivals is about two gods fighting a war, but the humans are doing all the fighting. You actually don’t see or deal with the gods at all in this book. Despite it being about war, Divine Rivals is not too violent. There was only one scene that I found to be a little descriptive!
Romance
Divine Rivals is by far one of my most favorite ways that two characters fall in love. There is so much vulnerability, soul searching, and honesty between the two. As a book reader, I’ve always found it easier to express myself through writing. Impart that’s why I love these characters so much because of how they bare their souls on paper. Divine Rivials makes me want to start writing letters.
Overall
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Oh my gosh you guys! This book though 😍 The more I think about it the more I love love love it! Rebecca Ross does a phenomenal job with her composition of vocabulary, and string together words beautifully. These characters really come to life, and you get lost in the pages of this book. Divine rivals is a new way to love ❤️ . I wouldn’t say this book is a fast pace, but it’s not too slow that you’re bored while reading. The pace is great and gives you enough information and context to really become involved in the story. I find myself recommending Divine Rivals to all my friends! It’s just too good, and you definitely need to read this!

Summary
After centuries of sleep, the gods are warring again. But eighteen-year-old Iris Winnow just wants to hold her family together. Her mother is suffering from addiction and her brother is missing from the front lines. Her best bet is to win the columnist promotion at the Oath Gazette.
To combat her worries, Iris writes letters to her brother and slips them beneath her wardrobe door, where they vanish―into the hands of Roman Kitt, her cold and handsome rival at the paper. When he anonymously writes Iris back, the two of them forge a connection that will follow Iris all the way to the front lines of battle: for her brother, the fate of mankind, and love.

Where to buy?
Since I go through books so fast, I normally don’t like to buy books brand new. For the most part I have found amazon to be a great place to find used books. They often offer great deals, and if you have amazon prime, shipping is free!
Get Divine Rivals here from amazon.
Another place I like to go for books is a website called thriftbooks. Often I’ll price compare between this website and amazon. Thriftbooks used to be cheaper than amazon, but lately I’ve been surprised with amazon. So you never know!
The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.
