Characters

In the book Before She Ignites you will find humans, and dragons. The world is set up in five different factions.

The Faithful: this faction upholds a strict moral code. They are a very religious group of people and believe that dragons are divine beings.

The Enlightened: highly value education, and therefore focus on knowledge and learning.

The Guardians: value strength and loyalty. Apart of their culture is silence, and have a silent code in which they can tap out language.This faction is tasked with protecting the realm and its people.The Traders: value influence and economic power. This faction is primarily centered on trading and commerce.

The Abandoned: these people have been rejected by society and often live on the outskirts or the fringes of society.

Plot

The MC Mira is a symbol of the peace treaty between factions, and is a public figure. Mira spends a good amount of time at the dragon sanctuary, and has a special connection with the species.

After publicly speaking out against the factions and her leaders, Mira finds herself in prison. Through her time in prison, Mira finds friends, and others who are also imprisoned unfairly. Her journey in the person causes a lot of reflection on what she was taught to believe, and put those beliefs to question. Going from nobility to prison, Mira faces a lot of challenges and character building.

Overall

I really enjoyed the book Before She Ignites! I loved the involvement of dragons, the fighting against injustice, and the strength that comes with friends and allies.

Summary

I personally didn’t even think these graphic scenes are all too bad. This book is great for a young teen getting into reading!

Mira has always been a symbol of hope for the Fallen Isles, perfect and beautiful—or at least that’s how she’s forced to appear. But when she uncovers a dangerous secret, Mira is betrayed by those closest to her and sentenced to the deadliest prison in the Fallen Isles.

Another place I like to go for books is a website called thriftbooks. Often I’ll price compare between this website and amazon. Thriftbooks used to be cheaper than amazon, but lately I’ve been surprised with amazon. So you never know!

The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.
