My Review
Plot
This book is not for the faint of heart. There is quite a bit of spice, violence and profanity. However, if that doesn’t bother you too much, this book is WELL WORTH THE READ!
The world building and plot are excellent, 10/10! You learn more about each character up until the very end of the book. Throughout the entire book gets the plot gets deeper and more complex. There are details in the beginning of the book that don’t seem important, and are all the sudden a game changer at the end.
Characters
In When the Moon Hatched you will see all kinds of mythological creatures. There are three main kinds of dragons, which divide up the lands and the rulers of each land.Â
The characters are continually evolving through each chapter. You slowly learn more truth about the main character and her relationship with each person up until the very end. Even the last few pages had my heart racing, my mind reeling and my pulse thrumming. I have never had a book with a plot and characters so intricately written like they are in this book!
The dragons in this book are not an integral part of the story, but rather play a side roll. I didn’t know that going into the book, so was a little sad since I’m obsessed with dragons. (haha don’t judge me)
Magic
The magic in When the Moon Hatched is also unlike no other. There are different elemental gods. First is Caelis, the God of Aether. Boulder, the God of Ground. Rayne, the Goddess of water. Clode, the Goddess of Air. and Ignos, the God of fire.
How magic comes into play, is the Fae whisper to the gods in the gods ‘language’ so the gods can move the elements as asked. Each element also has a personality of their own, and they are each unique, fitting and even beautiful. Â
Dragons
The dragons have a lot to do with the world building, and the culture of the people in those parts of the land.Â
The first dragons you will be introduced to are the Sabersythes. They live in a land that is in credibly warm, and not many people can venture to live in.Â
The next dragon species you’ll learn about are the Moltenmaws. Their home is in the Fade, which is very foggy and marshy. They have honed beaks and claws, which are very sharp. The Moltenmaws are covered in feathers which are incredibly vibrant and colorful.Â
The next species are the Moonplumes. They live the farthest from the sun , and in the darkest part of The Shade. It is said that this part of the land is so cold it can turn your blood cold.Â
Overall
Like I have said before, I am one that KILLS for a well written book. And this book would be one of them! I am in love with the characters and their story. They come out on page so beautifully and vividly!Â
I could not put this book down and had to stay up late reading it because I was so invested!!

When a rival bounty hunter turns her world upside down, blood spills, hearts break, and Raeve finds herself imprisoned by the Guild of Nobles—a group of powerful fae who turn her into a political statement.

Echoes of the past race between them.
There’s more to their story than meets the eye, but some truths are too poisonous to swallow.
Where to buy?
Since I go through books so fast, I normally don’t like to buy books brand new. For the most part I have found amazon to be a great place to find used books. They often offer great deals, and if you have amazon prime, shipping is free!
Get When the Moon Hatched here from amazon.
Another place I like to go for books is a website called thriftbooks. Often I’ll price compare between this website and amazon. Thriftbooks used to be cheaper than amazon, but lately I’ve been surprised with amazon. So you never know!
The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.Â
