My Review
Characters
This is where I feel like the magic party of fantasy comes into play! In Heir of Fire you will find fae, mythological creatures such as witches, wyvern, and skinwalkers. There are greater fae and lesser fae. The lesser fae can control smaller elements, while the greater fae can control bigger elements, one of the most respected ones being fire.Â
Each fae has a form that they can shift in and out of. But shifting into their fae form requires magic. If any of the fae were to venture into Adarlan, where magic is cut off, the fae would be stuck in their other form. This is usually an animal of some sort, but for Celaena it is a human form.Â
Magic
In my opinion, Heir of Fire is where the series starts to get really fun! You will find a lot of more magic in Heir of Fire than in the previous books. As Celaena is sent to Wendlyn on the King of Adarlan’s command, she encounters an entire new world that is open to magic.Â
There is use of dark magic, which has slowly been creeping into the realm that Celaena exist in. This magic has been taking over human bodies and can be contained to other objects such as rings and necklaces.Â
Plot
In Heir of Fire there become a lot of POVs the occur in completely different parts of the world. At first it was hard to follow, because it felt like a sudden and drastic change from the other two books. But once I was able to get a grasp on each character, I found the book to go by so much quicker! Each POV usually ended on a critical point, and would switch over to another character. The switching and cliff hangers of each chapter, made me reading the entire book even faster, and kept my mind racing and thinking of all the possibillites of what could happen, or was going to happen.Â
Overall
If I haven’t convinced you yet to read this series. Then drop what you are doing, and go start! I can’t get enough of the the Throne of Glass series. It is fun, heart pounding, the character development is phenomenal. The world building is excellent. Magic is enticing, and adds so much depth to each character and their personal growth. Despite having kingdoms at war, Heir of Fire, (and the TOG series) is not very violent, but is full of action and gets your blood pumping!Â

Where to buy?
Since I go through books so fast, I normally don’t like to buy books brand new. For the most part I have found amazon to be a great place to find used books. They often offer great deals, and if you have amazon prime, shipping is free!
Get Heir of Fire here from amazon.
Another place I like to go for books is a website called thriftbooks. Often I’ll price compare between this website and amazon. Thriftbooks used to be cheaper than amazon, but lately I’ve been surprised with amazon. So you never know!
The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.Â
