My Thoughts!
Crown of Midnight is very action packed! I love the flawed characters, and how they work through each situation differently.
Plot
I loved the plot in Crown of Midnight. It becomes more intricate and is not predictable. I love to keep guessing where the story line is going, and what is in store for the next books!
There are multiple POVs is this book, but the transition from each character is easy to follow. The shift in POVs is also throughout the chapter, it is not separated chapter by chapter. I think is part of the reason why the multiple POVs are easy to follow, and the transition is so smooth.
Characters
I love to see how Celaena, Chaol, Dorian, and Nehemia all have such different personalities and how they work together. You gain an appreciation for each character in this book, and why the make the decisions they do.
I also love how each character is passionate in their own roles, and how each of those roles work together. Each character has different loyalties and priorities from the other, but a common thread is their devotion to each other and the greater good for the common people.
Romance
Things become a little more intimate in this book, but still there is only one closed door scene noted below. I love the slow burning passion in this book, and the level of comfort and security found in the love.
Violence
The violence does get more intense in Crown of Midnight, but I still think we watch worse PG-13 movies out there than this book! After all, she is an assassin, assigned to be the kings champion, and do his bidding as he pleases. So with that I am surprised it’s not more graphic.
Overall
Crown of Midnight is incredible! I am so impressed how this series keeps getting better, more intricate, and has left me wanting more.
You love each character as they are. Want them each to succeed in their own regard, and find out more about them as the series continues! Sooooo good. I will be forever recommending this series to everyone I meet!

The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.
