My Review
Characters
In Halo, you will see angels and fallen angels.Â
Bethany is the main character. She along with her brother Gabriel, and friend Ivy, are sent to earth and is put into a mortal body. Here their role is to help mortals and stop fallen angels from causing harm.Â
Plot
In the book Halo, three angels are sent down to earth in a mortal form to help protect mortals from fallen angels. I love how the plot is very simple, how there isn’t a ton of magic and complex ideas, and the book is clean when it comes to romance and violence.Â
As the angels interact with humans, Bethany faces an internal conflict as she falls in love with a mortal, Xavier. Halo follows Bethany the closest out of the three angels, and depicts her struggle of good versus evil as she strives to stop the fallen angels, and as she falls in love with a mortal even though it clashes with her duties to protect them.Â
Romance
The romance in Halo is very innocent. Since Bethany is experiencing a mortal body for the first time, she is also experiencing human emotion for the first time as well. Although as an angel she did experience emotion, those feelings were quite different than the ones she feels while on earth. The human emotions are more complex, intense and sometimes overwhelming.Â
Overall
Halo is a fun, causal and easy read. It is full of innocent romance, excitement and loyalty. Most of the book is about falling in love, and towards the end you get more action. The love between Bethany and Xavier feels very real, and the author does a great job of creating a relationship and the journey of them both growing together. I was also very impressed with the writing style and the descriptions that went into each characters experience. I have always been a sucker for a book that is well written, and Halo falls under that category! I love the imagery, the way words are put together, and how those words pull emotions out of you (: Halo makes my heart feel right at home.Â
I wouldn’t say that Halo is a fast paced book, but I wouldn’t say it is slow either. The pace is pretty moderate making it an easy and enjoyable read.Â

Summary
Three angels are sent down to bring good to the world: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio. But she is the most human, and when she is romantically drawn to a mortal boy, the angels fear she will not be strong enough to save anyone—especially herself—from the Dark Forces.
Is love a great enough power against evil?

Where to buy?
Since I go through books so fast, I normally don’t like to buy books brand new. For the most part I have found amazon to be a great place to find used books. They often offer great deals, and if you have amazon prime, shipping is free!
Get Halo here from amazon.
Another place I like to go for books is a website called thriftbooks. Often I’ll price compare between this website and amazon. Thriftbooks used to be cheaper than amazon, but lately I’ve been surprised with amazon. So you never know!
The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.
