My thoughts
♥️♥️♥️ THIS BOOK THOUGH! This is one of my all time favorite books I have ever read.
Characters
First off, I absolutely love books about dragons. So, with Fourth Wing being all about bonding with dragons and dragons being a main part of the book, I fell in love. I really enjoyed that dragons play a major roll, and they have the ability to communicate with their riders. This brings a lot more life and personality to the dragons, and also adds more depth to the characters in the book.
In Fourth Wing you see humans, and dragons. The dragons each have distinct temperaments and power, which are usually aligned with their color.
The black dragons are known for their intellect and strategic prowess.
The blue dragons are large, ruthless, and highly respected.
The red dragons are hot tempered and aggressive.
The orange dragons are unpredictable, and less reliable in their demeanor.
The green dragons are rational and thoughtful.
The gold feather tail are rare dragons. They are smaller, less likely to engage in combat and grant their bonded rider unique abilities.
Plot
The dragons also provide their riders with magic and different abilities once bonded. With this aspect there are a lot of twists in the book, and pushes the characters to harder depths than just merely riding and fighting in battle.
Rebecca Yarros is also a great writer. She had a way of putting the words on the page, that allowed me to watch a movie instead of just reading a book. I actually caught myself holding my breath during intense battles, duals and training matches. Other times I pelt my heart race and the romance came up, and my cheeks get warm. The romance is a constant battle between the characters, which makes it that much better!
Spice
The spice in this book is great! They go from enemies to lovers. So the romance is fun, intense and hot-blooded.
There are two open door scenes, which are listed below. If you don’t want to read that much spice, just skip the pages listed below!
Overall
After reading Fourth Wing, I still cant get it out of my head! It’s one of those books that lives rent free on my minds bookshelf. If I didn’t have so many books on my TBR list I would definitely read this book again. Although, it’s getting to the point which I just might put my other books on hold and read it again anyways because I love it that much. ♥️

Summary
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away…because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.
With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.
She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.
Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.

Where to buy?
Since I go through books so fast, I normally don’t like to buy books brand new. For the most part I have found amazon to be a great place to find used books. They often offer great deals, and if you have amazon prime, shipping is free!
Get Fourth Wing here from amazon.
Another place I like to go for books is a website called thriftbooks. Often I’ll price compare between this website and amazon. Thriftbooks used to be cheaper than amazon, but lately I’ve been surprised with amazon. So you never know!
The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.
