My Review
Characters
In Forged in Frost you will find fae and dragons. There will be greater fae and lesser fae, depending on the type of magic they can wield. There is still mention of humans, but they aren’t encountered in this book. Although, dragons do shift to their human form, if you want to count that.
Magic
The magic in Forged in Frost is the same and Promised in Fire. You will see elemental magic. Fae that control either earth, water, air, and there were once fae that could control fire. That is only the dragons now due to the fire faes extinction.
Greater fae can control multipule aspects of a particular element. For example and earth fae could control rocks and flowers. Lesser fae can only control one aspect. The greater fae are the nobility in the kingdom. They have most, if not all of the control and jurisdiction to their kingdom.
Plot
The plot at this point in Forged in Fire is pretty predictable. I thought there would be some twisted, or caveats that I didn’t foresee. However, the book is very straight forward, and follows the same premise the entire series.
Summary
Adara and Einar thought all their problems would be solved when they defeated the corrupted King Aolis.
But the power vacuum they have created is begging to be filled, and the three houses of Ediria are at each other’s throats trying to claim it. Worse, the threat from the shadow creatures is far from ended—an even more diabolical villain has risen in Aolis’s place, and she will stop at nothing in her plot to throw Ediria into chaos and drown the kingdom in its own blood.
If Adara is to make things right, she must complete the coming of age ritual to unlock her powers so she can defeat the shadow creatures once and for all. But who can she rely on, when everyone seeks to use her as a pawn in their nefarious games? Even Einar seems to have his own agenda, and when it comes to matters of the heart, no one can be trusted…

The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.
