My Thoughts
Characters
Heartless Hunter is full of witches who are hiding from the public, afraid of execution. There are good witches, and some who get power hungry and use spells for bad. In order to use spells they need blood. They often use their own, but can use other peoples blood.
You root for all the characters in the story, even though two of them are on opposite ends. One saving witches, and the other hunting them.Β Who would think that you could love both the characters? And want both of them to succeed?! Maybe you want them to succeed in different ways?Β
Magic
Since Heartless Hunters is about witches, the magic is all about casting spells.Β
In order to use magic, every witch needs blood. Depending on how the blood is obtained, witches can perform more intricate and powerful spells.Β
The blood usually comes from the witch herself, though this leaves silver marks where the scars are. The blood can come from other people, if the blood is taken unwillingly, then the magic falls under dark magic. This makes the witch become dark herself, and crave more and more power.Β
TW: the main character does store her monthly cycle blood to use for magic. So this may cause some readers to feel uncomfortable.
Spice
The romance Heartless Hunter keeps you are your toes, and you can’t help but wonder how it’s going to turn out. Not going to lie, I cried at the end of this book. Although, I am always an emotional human and love reading books that pull at my heart strings. This story is so heart wrenching, and ends on a cliff hanger! I can’t wait to read the second book.
Overall
Heartless Hunter was a fun read for me because I could pick it up and set it down when I needed to! That means I didnβt have to carve out uninterrupted time, and could play with my children in between reading!

Summary
Spending her days pretending to be nothing more than a vapid young socialite, Rune spends her nights as the Crimson Moth, a witch vigilante who rescues her kind from being purged. When a rescue goes wrong, she decides to throw the witch hunters off her scent and gain the intel she desperately needs by courting the handsome Gideon Sharpe – a notorious and unforgiving witch hunter loyal to the revolution – who she can’t help but find herself falling for.
Gideon loathes the decadence and superficiality Rune represents, but when he learns the Crimson Moth has been using Runeβs merchant ships to smuggle renegade witches out of the republic, he inserts himself into her social circles by pretending to court her right back. He soon realizes that beneath her beauty and shallow faΓ§ade, is someone fiercely intelligent and tender who feels like his perfect match. Except, what if sheβs the very villain heβs been hunting?
The Crimson Moth is a romantic fantasy series where the only thing more treacherous than being a witch…is falling in love.

Where to buy?
Since I go through books so fast, I normally don’t like to buy books brand new. For the most part I have found amazon to be a great place to find used books. They often offer great deals, and if you have amazon prime, shipping is free!
Get Heartless Hunter here from amazon.
Another place I like to go for books is a website called thriftbooks. Often I’ll price compare between this website and amazon. Thriftbooks used to be cheaper than amazon, but lately I’ve been surprised with amazon. So you never know!
The last place I go to for books is kindle unlimited. Believe it or not you don’t need a kindle to get the benefits! Kindle has an app you can just download onto your phone. This is one of my favorite features because if I forget my kindle, I can still pull up the book on my phone! And the app does a great job switching to the last page I was on in the book even if it was on a different device.Β
